YOGI’S REGARD FOR HEALTH: The Indian Yoga believes that the body is an instrument that can be used perfectly to attain the soul development. So he not only develops the physical body but also tries to attain the control over it. The highly degree of responsiveness over the body can be obtained when the body is properly cared of, developed and nourished.

HATHA YOGA : Hatha is the balance and harmony of two forces, so that the third force Sushmana can be awakened and this becomes the pathway for the awakening of the dormant energies in our body. Hatha yoga offers many practices of purification so that they eliminate the toxins and impurities and improve the flow of prana in our body.

YOGI BREATHING: Not only is Man dependent upon Breath for life, but he is largely dependent upon correct habits of breathing for continued vitality and freedom from disease. An intelligent control of our breathing power will lengthen our days upon earth by giving us increased vitality and powers of resistance, and, on the other hand, unintelligent and careless breathing will tend to shorten our days, by decreasing our vitality and laying us open to disease.

SCIENCE OF RELAXATION: The Science of Relaxation forms a very important part of the Hatha Yoga philosophy and many of the Yogis have devoted much care and study to this branch of the subject. Rest and relaxation are very different things from “loafing,” “laziness,” etc. On the contrary, those who have mastered the science of relaxation are usually the most active and energetic kind of people, but they waste no energy; with them every motion counts.

YOGA SUTRAS PHILOSOPHY: The Yoga Sutra, widely regarded as the authoritative text on yoga, is a collection of aphorisms, outlining the eight limbs of yoga. These "threads" (as sutra translates from Sanskrit) of wisdom offer guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life. These sutras are invaluable to 21st century yoga teachers as they are the guidelines that one can follow to pursue the goal of self evolution.
